The Bergen Winter Marathon will be held for the 5th time on Saturday, January 18, 2025. The start and finish area will be at Fana Stadium. The course consists of a round-trip route on asphalt roads that are either completely car-free or have very little traffic, and a large part of the distance runs along a disused railway track in idyllic, rural surroundings. Exactly half a marathon is run per lap, and the same lap is run twice for a full marathon. The half marathon is run for 1 lap, while the marathon is run for 2 laps.

Highlights

  • Bergen Winter Marathon is the first race of the Marathon Carousel's 6 annual races.
  • The race is always held in January, and the distances you can choose from are half marathon and marathon.
  • The course is slightly hilly and easy to run, except for a hilltop at Fana Stadium that must be run up and down.
